The Perunnal celebrations of our parish coinciding with the feast of our patron saint St John along with the feast of St George was organized this year on May 7 and 8. Rev. Fr. Manoj Mathew of Mavelikara Diocese was the chief celebrant for this year’s Perunnal celebrations. He led the Rasa (Public Procession) holding the Cross and was accompanied by other priests from sister parishes of the Delhi Diocese. Decked vehicles with the image of St John moved with the procession with the faithful holding lighted candles to proclaim the feast of our patron saint and seek his intercession. This was followed by a Perunnal message by Rev. Fr Manoj Mathew who celebrated the Holy Qurbana on May 8. Also seen in the picture is Diocesan Secretary Rev. Fr Saji Yohannan who proclaimed the beginning of the Perunnal with the traditional Perunnal flag hoisting on May 1, 2022.

The event, organized by the OCYM unit of our parish, was led by Dr. Indu, MD (Medicine), RML Hospital; Prof. (Dr) Bimla Kapoor, Chairperson, Committee of Experts, NNMC Bill, Former Director, School of Health Sciences, IGNOU and Mr. Cyriac Antony, DDG, Niti Aayog, and Treasurer, DNipCare.

Diocesan Metropolitan H.G. Dr Youhanon Mar Demetrios chaired the MGOCSM Annual Day 2022 event hosted by our parish on July 24, 2022. Seated along with him are Rev Fr. Saji Yohannan (Diocesan Secretary), Rev. Fr. Jessen P Wilson, the Global General Secretary of MGOCSM, who was the resource person for the conference, Rev. Fr. Cherian Joseph (Delhi Diocese MGOCSM Vice President) and office bearers of MGOCSM central committee and our parish Managing Committee.

Our unit OCYM conducted an Art Competition on August 14, 2022 at the Church for children of various age groups.

Members of our Church taking part in a Free Health Checkup Camp organised by the Orthodox Christian Youth Movement (OCYM) of our parish in association with Mayur Vihar Phase-3 situated “God’s Own Clinic” on October 2 after the Holy Qurbana. Our Vicar Rev. Fr. Aji K. Chacko along with office bearers of the Church later felicitated Dr. Mathew Varghese of St Stephen’s Hospital and Dr. Alex Mathew of God’s Own Clinic and his team for their selfless services rendered at the camp.
